POTENTIAL WELL WATER CONTAMINANTS
Microorganisms

Pre-filter
MicroZTM filter media is used for pre-filtration to remove particles, five micron and up. MicroZTM outperforms sand multimedia to provide increased particulate removal.
KDF
The KDF process media works to remove chlorine, iron, hydrogen sulfide, lead, mercury, calcium carbonate, magnesium, chromium, and bacteria.
Activated Carbon
Aquafeel System removes organic compounds and extracts the presence of chlorine in the water with an Activated Carbon filter media.
High efficiency ion exchange resin
The water then passes through the Ion Exchange Resin that reduces iron and other minerals that cause water hardness.
1st. Stage: Pre-filter micro ZTM
Zeolites are widely used as ion-exchange beds in domestic and commercial water purification.
It has the ability to remove water hardness, removing unwanted particles of up to 5 microns.
Now, what’s a micron?
It is a unit of measurement, and the smallest known bacterium is 2 microns. Zeolite is a highly resistant material and does not need washing frequently.
2nd. Stage: KDF media
KDF (Kinetic Degradation Fluxion) process media are high-purity copper-zinc granules that reduce contaminants in water using an oxidation/reduction (redox) reaction.
The KDF process media works to remove chlorine, iron, hydrogen sulfide, lead, mercury, calcium carbonate, magnesium, chromium, and bacteria.
3rd. Stage: Activated Carbon
Water containing chlorine passes through a bed of granular activated carbon.
Chlorine reacts with the activated carbon and is neutralized.
Naturally occurring organic compounds, which can cause taste and odor, are adsorbed on to the surface of the carbon granules.
4th. Stage: Ion exchange resin
Fine mesh resin is used to increase efficiency to remove water hardness, Calcium, Magnesium and improve performance in high Iron content water.
Metered control valve
Our metered control valve regenerates in an up-flow pattern based on water usage to conserve water and reduce salt requirements.
The Aquafeel System has a self-cleaning method and keeps the media from getting compact. This is a very important feature that other systems do not offer.
Brine tank
The Aquafeel system performs maintenance cycles automatically every two weeks.
This process is controlled by an intelligent Control Valve located on the head of the Aquafeel system and a brine tank.
This allows for the media to be regenerated, allowing the Aquafeel system to have a lifetime warranty.
